What is an ecological icon and why is it needed?
This is a plate that must be placed on the windshield of your car. It allows you to identify the most environmentally friendly vehicles in Spain.
What does each of the environmental icons mean?
There are four environmental badges based on the environmental impact of vehicles. From highest to lowest efficiency, they are:
| Blue icon | 1. Emissions mark 0 (blue icon): denotes the most efficient means of transport. |
| Green-blue icon | 2. Ecolabel (green-blue icon): applies to plug-in hybrid vehicles. |
| Green icon | 3. Label C (green icon): applies to internal combustion vehicles that meet the latest EURO emission standards. |
| Yellow icon | 4. Label B (yellow icon): internal combustion vehicles which, although not meeting the latest EURO emission standards, comply with the previous ones. |
